There are lots of ways you can be part of PTA. No amount of time is too small--every little bit helps. Here are just a few of the volunteer opportunities at Heights:
- Room parent representative - plan classroom parties
- Room parent helper - help with classroom parties
- Library - read to your child’s class or help shelve library books (even 15-20 minutes helps!)
- Hospitality - provide food for teacher appreciation luncheons or help serve
- Special events - help out with PTA programs (for example, the Chili Cook-off or Sock Hop)
- Arts in Education - help out with the Go Van Gogh or Reflections art programs
- RISD Clothes Closet - the Clothes Closet is an RISD/Council of PTAs project and provides RISD students in need with clothing. You can help by volunteering your time or donating clothing/money.
